According to the National Weather Service in Charleston, Monday’s high temperatures will range between 98°F and 103°F, triggering major to extreme heat risk levels for most of the Lowcountry and inland areas. Relief may come via isolated thunderstorms this afternoon, but dangerous heat will persist.

Charleston, Summerville, and Beaufort are all under elevated alerts, with extreme caution urged for outdoor activity. Tuesday brings an even higher risk level, especially inland, with heat-related illness likely without proper precautions.
