Police: Charges possible after truck found submerged near Sullivan’s Island boat landing

SULLIVAN’S ISLAND, S.C. (WCBD) – A man could face charges after the cabin of a tractor trailer was found submerged in water at a Sullivan’s Island boat landing.

The string of incidents began Wednesday morning when officers with the Sullivan’s Island Police Department detained a man near Fort Moultrie. He was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation.

Later that night, officials stated that the police department was contacted by a commercial trucking company, which reported that one of their drivers was missing. The company’s tracking software indicated the vehicle was located near the town’s boat landing on Osceola Avenue…
