JOHNS ISLAND, S.C (WCSC) – Construction work on Johns Island will be causing some intermittent lane closures starting on Monday.
Santee Cooper says those closures will be on Brownswood Road and River Road between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. until August 16. Officials say the closures will be near 950 Brownswood Road, between Old Pond Road and Fickling Hill Road, as well as near 1444 River Road, just north of Murraywood Road.
While officials expect traffic delays to be brief, they are encouraging drivers in the area to use caution, slow down when traveling in the area and consider alternate routes when possible…
