CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – A Charleston-area restaurant wants a lawsuit filed against them in June to be dismissed.
The South Carolina Shrimpers Association filed a lawsuit claiming that dozens of Lowcountry restaurants falsely advertised the use of local shrimp.
Saltwater Cowboys says in the motion to dismiss, they said the term local is ‘ambiguous’ and says that claims of restaurants not using local shrimp are not considered a factual statement and can not support a Landham Act claim.
