FIRST ALERT: Unsettled weekend with rounds of showers, storms likely!

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – Isolated showers tonight will eventually give way to disruptive rounds of showers and thunderstorms this weekend!

Deeper moisture is beginning to trickle in across the Lowcountry as a stationary front weakens nearby. As a result, a few showers remain possible to the east of I-95 through early Saturday morning with the highest concentration occurring near the coast. Overnight lows should cool into the upper 60s and low 70s.

Both Saturday and Sunday look to feature periods of rain and thunderstorms at any point in the day. Heavier rainfall is expected near the coast, where there is also a low-end risk of localized flooding and ponding on the roads…
