Charleston County has launched a property recording alert system for paperwork at the Register of Deeds Office.
“The Charleston County Register of Deeds Office is pleased to introduce this new alert system, designed to help residents stay informed about activity related to property records and other official documents filed in their name,” Karen Hollings, Charleston County register of deeds, said in a news release. “I’d like to thank the Charleston County Technology Services Department for helping to develop this system in-house, saving taxpayer dollars and making Charleston County government more accessible to our citizens.”
The service will be no cost to users and will send an email when a name matches the individual and the document recorded with the register of deeds, according to the release. The resource can be used by homeowners, business representatives and other property owners…
