Charleston County School District making safety a top priority for new year

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – As Charleston County students return to the classroom, they can expect significant changes to security protocols and support available for students and staff.

This year, middle schoolers may experience random security screenings, a practice that previously only took place in high schools. It’s one of several security changes the district is rolling out.
