South Carolina Ports Authority receives final reimbursement, completing Charleston Harbor deepening project

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Leaders celebrated the last step of the Charleston Harbor Deepening Project with a final check presentation on Monday.

The South Carolina Ports Authority was presented with $21.28 million as their last reimbursement for the nearly decade-long initiative, bringing the harbor from 45 feet to 52 feet deep.
