CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Heavy rain associated with a stalled front has caused flooding across the Charleston area. Numerous roads on the peninsula and in nearby communities are being impacted by the rising water on Saturday morning.
A flash flood warning was issued by the National Weather Service, and a flood watch persists for the Charleston area through late Saturday night.
Forecasters say Friday’s rainfall amounts ranged from 3-5” with some isolated areas greater than 7”, and an additional 1.5 to 2.5” is expected through Saturday night, with some localized higher amounts possible…
