‘Menopause and Martinis’ event empowers women’s health

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The inaugural Menopause and Martinis Experience proved to be a hot ticket, as women gathered to discuss an issue that affects all women at some point.News 2’s Octavia Mitchell joined Dr. Paula Orr, a renowned women’s health advocate, OB/GYN and founder of the Menopause & Martinis Experience, on Thursday night.

It was a powerful, packed event designed to break the silence and stigma around menopause and perimenopause.   It was held at the Harbour Club WestEdge.Menopause & Martinis combined expert discussion and a vibrant social setting, and encouraged women to take charge of their health, and know you are not alone.News 2’s Octavia Mitchell served as moderator of the open discussion last night.  Attendees also enjoyed a stylish fashion show.Dr. Orr says she plans to take her unique event, an evening of knowledge, empowerment, and celebration, Menopause and Martinis Experience, to communities across the state to educate, empower, and connect women through candid conversation, expert guidance, and sisterhood…
