CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) The City of Charleston is working with the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) to bring a state-of-the-art cancer facility to downtown Charleston.
The city is moving to amend zoning and create an overlay district for MUSC’s downtown campus to allow the hospital to expand. This will create more jobs, more research capacities, and the opportunity for Charleston to have one of the best cancer facilities in the country.
MUSC continues to be a leading research facility with a focus on expanding its work in understanding and fighting cancer.
