SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) — A suspect accused of carjacking a vehicle was taken into custody Tuesday after reportedly crashing the car during a police pursuit in Summerville.
Officers attempted to stop a vehicle around 3:45 p.m. that was wanted in connection with an alleged morning carjacking in the Charlotte area, according to an official with the Summerville Police Department.

The suspect, who has not yet been identified, reportedly fled and led officers on a brief chase that ended in a crash on Farmington Road.
