NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – The North Charleston Police Department and the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a double homicide incident that occurred nearly a month ago.
Police say a landowner discovered the bodies of two women on Richbow Road in the Rembert area of Sumter County on Aug. 8. Sumter County Coroner Robbie Baker identified the victims as Kristin N. Grisson, 38, of North Charleston and Christine Marie McAbee, 35, of Walterboro.
Baker said Grissom’s cause of death is pending a toxicology report and McAbee’s cause of death was a gunshot wound.
Sheriff Anthony Deniss noted in the Aug. 13 press conference that it is believed this incident was isolated and also claimed that they knew each other, but it is unclear what their exact connection was…
