MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCSC) – The Mount Pleasant Police Department arrested two men who allegedly robbed a man who was trying to buy Nike shoes from them.
Marvin Pressley, 31, is charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon and possession of a weapon during a violent crime and Henry Robinson, 39, is charged with a deadly weapon, according to jail records.
Sgt. Robert Blaschke said officers responded to a Lowes Food at the 2100 block of Highway 41 shortly before 5 p.m. Thursday for a report of an armed robbery. Dispatchers alerted officers that the victim was following the suspect’s silver Volkswagen SUV with a Virginia tag.
Upon arrival, officers met with the victim, who stated that he was meeting up with a man named “Beanz Robinson” to buy a pair of Nike shoes from him. The man said that Robinson gave him his number so they could set up a date and time to meet. The victim said that the originally planned meeting was at Harris Teeter, but changed it to Lowe’s Food after Robinson tried to switch the location again…
