SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) – A rezoning request that could bring nearly 100 townhomes to the Lincolnville Road corridor is back before Summerville leaders, months after the town’s Planning Commission voted it down.
The proposal would add close to 100 units across about 32 acres near Lincolnville, Craven, and Jasmine, just off the Ladson Road intersection. That stretch is already one of Summerville’s busiest corridors, and commissioners voted against the project in April over concerns about worsening traffic.
The plan was tabled until a traffic impact study could be completed. That study has since been finalized, recommending a dedicated right turn lane from Lincolnville Road onto Ladson Road. Planning staff say that was the primary condition needed for the project to move forward…
