MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) — A bus driver contracted by the Charleston County School District has been terminated amid an investigation into his interactions with several middle school students.
A report from the Mount Pleasant Police Department stated that the principal of Laing Middle School alerted the school’s resource officer on Sept. 3 of text messages from the bus driver that had been sent to a sixth-grade student.
The driver, who was not named in the report, had allegedly been the student’s bus driver in elementary school. After the student moved on to middle school, the report states that the bus driver began texting them and showing up at the school…
