Backyard shed becomes scene of alleged kidnapping over noise dispute in North Charleston

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A 24-year-old man was arrested by North Charleston police after allegedly locking another person inside a shed over a noise complaint.

Cesar Marquez Loyola is charged with kidnapping, standing accused of locking an unnamed victim inside a backyard shed for approximately 30 minutes on Sunday night, according to an incident report from the North Charleston Police Department.

Police narrative claims that officers arrived at the scene on Elder Avenue around 11:23 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, for a noise complaint. When at the scene, police noted a fenced-in residence with a large backyard, shed and patio. Officers also found the suspect, Marquez Loyola, wearing a torn blue shirt and shorts and appearing intoxicated…
