Charleston’s Low Battery Seawall Project ‘critical for protection,’ officials say

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — The City of Charleston is nearing completion on one of its most ambitious infrastructure upgrades in recent memory: the $75 million Low Battery Seawall Restoration Project.

Now in its final phase, city leaders say the improvements are vital to protecting downtown Charleston from flooding, rising tides, and future storms.
