CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Multiple mega-yachts were docked at the Harbor Marina in Charleston Friday. The 226-foot-long Spectre, owned by billionaire Rob Sands, landed in the Holy City on Sept. 26 after departing from Nantucket, Massachusetts, according to marinetraffic.com, a website that tracks various boats.
The 217-foot-long yacht Hampshire, owned by billionaire Andrew Currie, a director of the chemical company Ineos, was parked a few yards away from the Spectre Friday. It arrived in Charleston on Sept. 20 after departing from Newport, Rhode Island, marinetraffic.com states.
Spectre has cabin space for 12 guests, as well as room for a crew of 15 and was designed by Giorgio M. Cassetta in 2018, according to Superyachtfan.com, which is a database about yachts, their owners, and private jets. Its price was a whopping $70 million with a $7 million per year operating cost…
