NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Two westbound lanes on I-26 will be temporarily closed after an overpass was struck by a truck carrying equipment Thursday morning.
The North Charleston Police Department said the accident happened at the Eagle Drive overpass. The bridge and two lanes were closed to traffic while crews worked to clear the scene.
It was later learned that a truck carrying an excavator hit the overpass at mile marker 210.
