Crews to demolish old SC-27 bridge in Berkeley County

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCBD) – Crews will begin demolishing the existing SC-27 bridge in Berkeley County.

The South Carolina Department of Transportation will begin overnight traffic pacing operations on I-26 to facilitate the demolition, which will occur from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., after which county officials said traffic from both the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-26 will be rerouted over the SC-27 ramps until 4 a.m.
