UNSOLVED: Sheriff’s office still seeking leads 14 years after 5-year-old’s killing

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — 14 years ago today, 5-year-old Allison Griffor was injured when someone fired a shotgun through the front door of her home. She died two days later in the hospital and an arrest has yet to be made.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is still pursuing leads in the case.

Deputies say that someone knocked on the door of Griffor’s home around 1 a.m. on Oct. 25, 2011. Her father went to answer the door and a shotgun was fired through it. A pellet went through a wall inside the home, striking the child as she slept in her bed. She was taken to MUSC, where she later died…
