Pinot and Provisions to Close Downtown Charleston Location, Owners Seek New Spot

The locally owned and operated Pinot and Provisions will permanently close its 227 Rutledge Ave. location on October 31. The closure follows a temporary shutdown earlier this year, when the shop had hoped to reopen in September.

Led by Madelyn and Aaron Rowland, the couple met while working in the hotel industry. They share a passion for Southern hospitality, food and, of course, wine. The couple has a dog named Pinot, the namesake of the shop, according to its website.

“We were so excited to re-open in a renewed capacity of a market, bottle shop, and wine bar. Unfortunately, due to some changes in ownership, we can no longer justify our time in this space.
