North Charleston man arrested on multiple charges after alleged domestic assault

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A 51-year-old man was arrested after his wife reported that he assaulted her while armed with a gun, according to the North Charleston Police Department.

Corey Williams was apprehended Saturday and is charged with domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, pointing and presenting a firearm, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, trafficking cocaine, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and manufacturing and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

Officers were first called to the residence on Eagle Lake Road around 3:30 a.m. after a woman reported an assault.
