Mount Pleasant police respond to incident at Homewood Suites

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. (WCBD) – Law enforcement responded Tuesday afternoon to an incident at the Homewood Suites in Mount Pleasant.

Consolidated dispatch received a call at 1:05 p.m. from a third party stating that a housekeeper was held hostage by a man in one of the hotel’s rooms, a spokesperson for the Mount Pleasant Police Department said.

The caller also told authorities the man might have a gun. Officers responded to the hotel on Riviera Drive and spoke with the complainant…
