North Charleston, South Carolina – A North Charleston community has been working with the city to establish a Historic District in order to help preserve and safeguard the Liberty Hill area.
Liberty Hill has been an important part of North Charleston’s African American tradition for over 150 years. However, residents fear that rapid development would destroy that history forever.
