Charleston Co. deputies continue search for answers in shooting, 13 years later

CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – Investigators are still searching for answers 13 years after a man was shot and killed at a home in Adams Run.

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office says Nathaniel Gordon, 49, was playing cards with others inside a home on Old Jacksonboro Road at about 7:50 p.m. on November 9, 2012, when someone knocked on the door.

Investigators say another card player opened the door and immediately closed it when he saw the person on the other side had a gun. At some point in the evening, deputies say a shotgun went off, hitting and killing Gordon…
