Lowcountry Land Trust secures 37 acres of farm and wetlands

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A Johns Island property that has been in the same family for more than a century will remain undeveloped due to a conservation agreement.

The Lowcountry Land Trust announced the permanent protection of the 37-acre realty, which includes farmland, forested wetlands, and wildlife habitats.

The conservation of this property will protect two valuable habitats within the local landscape and ecosystem. This area encompasses just over 13 acres of upland regions, featuring agricultural soils and forested wetlands.
