CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) – The City of Charleston is discussing approving $1.5 million to $1.9 million in funding for Star Gospel Mission to build new affordable housing units.
The funding would create 22 units with 97 beds, providing families the opportunity to stay together in one unit, said Geona Johnson, director of housing and community development for the City of Charleston.
