NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — An 18-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting outside Northwoods Mall on Nov. 8, according to the North Charleston Police Department.
Jaipell Hope turned himself in to the authorities on Friday morning. Investigators allege that Hope shot a male victim on the sidewalk outside the mall. Fortunately, the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.
Detectives suggest that the incident may have originated from a previous altercation between Hope and the victim, dating back two years, when both were high school students. Neither individual is currently enrolled in school, and their meeting at the mall is believed to have been coincidental…
