Mount Pleasant police raise donations for Special Olympics through ‘Cops on the Coop’.

Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Mount Pleasant police officers raised money for Special Olympics athletes on Friday at two Chick-fil-A locations through “Cops on the Coop.”

Officers from the Mount Pleasant Police Department staffed the eateries throughout the day, collecting donations to help local Special Olympics athletes train and travel to competitions like the 2026 Special Olympics USA Games in Minnesota.

“These policemen are excellent. “They’re out here working hard,” Sgt. Robert Blaschke stated. “A lot of these guys are on night shift, but they’re coming out here to help because they believe in the cause.”…
