North Charleston murder suspect captured in Georgia

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WBD) – A man wanted for allegedly killing his ex-girlfriend in North Charleston was captured Monday, the North Charleston Police Department announced.

Luis Oscar Ocanto, 38, is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend at her apartment, then fleeing in her vehicle.

North Charleston police were called to conduct a welfare check around 8:30 a.m. from a concerned friend of the victim. The complainant said they were worried because they heard that the suspect, Ocanto, had been in a fight with the victim earlier, and when they tried to call her, she didn’t answer…
