CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — One of the four men U.S. Rep. Nancy Mace accused of being a predator in a House floor speech has been granted bond in an unrelated domestic violence case.
A judge set a $60,000 surety bond for two charges against Eric Bowman on Wednesday, according to court records. Bowman, 45, is charged with first-degree domestic violence, jail records state. Sullivan’s Island Police filed those charges in August in connection with a Sept. 26, 2016, incident at his home, investigators said.
A judge previously denied bond in September, saying Bowman violated a previous consent bond order and that he was a danger to the alleged victim.
The earlier bond consent order that prosecutors said he violated involved charges of first-degree harassment and stalking filed against him in April, when he was accused of placing a location tracker on a woman’s car back in July 2024.
