NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — An embattled and controversial North Charleston nightclub, Aqua Lounge, has lost its alcohol license – for now.
On Nov. 14, the state Department of Revenue suspended Aqua Lounge and Nightclub’s alcohol license after citing several violations. The Administrative Law Court held an emergency hearing on Monday, Nov. 24, allowing the club’s owner, Lorenzo Lavar Johnson, to contest the suspension. He didn’t show up to the hearing.
The suspension will remain in place unless Johnson chooses to file to contest. If that is not done, the suspension order will remain in place…
