Lowcountry high schoolers help deliver Thanksgiving food to homebound residents

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — While people at home are preparing Thanksgiving feasts, some Lowcountry high schoolers are making sure homebound residents won’t be forgotten.

More than 250 volunteers are delivering Thanksgiving meals to over 200 homebound residents Wednesday morning, ensuring no one in the community spends the holiday alone or without a warm meal.

Meals on Wheels of Summerville partnered with Chef Collective and students from Ashley Ridge High School’s Foxes for Change club to prepare and deliver the holiday feast. The meals begin going out at 10 a.m…
