CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Two Lowcountry non-profits are teaming up to assist people in Jamaica who are still devastated by Category 5 Hurricane Melissa.
The Livity Foundation is working with The Water Mission to provide this water. The Water Mission sent crews to Jamaica before the hurricane struck to provide assistance.
As a result of the storm, some of the water supply was contaminated, but together, both organizations are able to tap into water sources, like the Martha Brae River, and purify it for residents…
