SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCBD) — A long-standing Thanksgiving tradition continued in Summerville on Thursday as Knightsville Methodist Church prepared and delivered thousands of free holiday meals to anyone who needed one.
Church leaders said the effort began 13 years ago with just over 200 meals served inside the church. Since then, the event has grown into one of the largest community Thanksgiving operations in the area, supported by hundreds of volunteers and donations from local businesses.
