New look, name coming to Charleston waterfront restaurant after ownership change

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A downtown Charleston restaurant staple has undergone a makeover and is set to reopen under a new name this week after a North Carolina couple bought it last month.

What was once Marina Variety Store Restaurant at 9 Lockwood Drive is set to reopen Friday as Fin & Crab after temporarily closing for renovations in early November.

Sources told News 2 the restaurant will continue to serve as a “family style” dining option but have new features like a raw bar. Much of the restaurant’s staff is expected to remain on, including the team’s executive chef…
