4 accused of installing hidden cameras inside woman’s home, Charleston Police say

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — Four suspects are facing voyeurism charges for setting up four hidden cameras inside a woman’s home.

Adam Midgett, 43; Ronna Midgett Matthews, 51; Bonnie Midgett, 74; and Rebekah Broome, 51, are charged with voyeurism (first offense).

The incident stemmed from when Adam Midgett’s wife discovered a black camera lying behind the couch in the living room, pointed toward the front door, which appeared to be recording people entering and exiting her Barrington Lane home on Sept 6. She also noticed the air conditioning vent on the ceiling looked “slightly ajar” while she was lying in bed, according to the incident report.

The next day, officers responded to the incident report, where they located three additional cameras: one camera outside her house, a hidden camera under leaves and brush, a camera on the balcony pointed toward her bedroom and a camera attached to a pickup truck registered to Adam Midgett…
