Convicted felon faces charges after illegal tint stop reveals drugs and weapon in car

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — A Berkeley County man was arrested Saturday after authorities found a loaded gun in the glove compartment, North Charleston police reported.

At noon, officers pulled over a car near the intersection of Ashley Phosphate Road and Mazyck Road for suspected illegal window tint. When officers allegedly smelled weed, they searched the car and found the gun, according to North Charleston law enforcement.
