Moncks Corner woman arrested for meth trafficking after traffic stop in Ladson

BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — A Moncks Corner woman was arrested Friday after narcotics were discovered during a traffic stop, according to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office.

Angie Therrell, a 45 year-old, was arrested and charged with driving under suspension and trafficking methamphetamine 10 grams or more but less than 28 grams.

The incident report states that deputies were patrolling in the area of College Park Road in Ladson when they observed a vehicle committing a driving infraction. A traffic stop was conducted and when deputies made contact with the driver, who has been since identified as Therrell, she reportedly stated that she did not possess a valid drivers license. A further check revealed that her driver’s license was suspended for failure to provide insurance.

During the investigation Therrell also reportedly told deputies that she was currently on probation for a previous methamphetamine-related offense, however she did give permission for deputies to search both her vehicle and her person…
