North Charleston man charged with kidnapping following domestic disturbance

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – North Charleston police arrested a man early Tuesday morning who claimed to have killed a cat, prompting a physical domestic disturbance at a home on Breeders Cup Drive.

Officers with the North Charleston Police Department responded to the home just before 3 a.m. When they arrived, the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Alexander Manuel Garcia, emerged from the house, refusing to comply with officer commands, the department said.

Garcia claimed to have a gun and instructed police to shoot him. He continued to resist, so officers deployed less-than-lethal weapons, which did not affect him, police reported…
