CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – New details have emerged outlining the events that led up to the arrest of a former College of Charleston Public Safety officer accused of sexually assaulting a woman over the weekend.
Robert Arnett, 34, is charged with assault with intent to commit criminal sexual conduct (1st degree) and misconduct in office. Arnett was arrested at the College of Charleston Department of Public Safety headquarters on Saturday, Dec. 6, at 6:30 p.m., according to an incident report from the Charleston Police Department.
He was later booked in the Al Cannon Detention Center that evening, but jail records show Arnett was released on a $125,000 bond Sunday afternoon…
