CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — A ‘FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY’ continues for Monday morning due to the concern over dangerous cold temperatures.
It will be a sunny and mild start to the weekend with sunshine warming temperatures into the upper 60s this afternoon. A mild and dry night is expected tonight as temperatures only fall into the low 50s.
A cold front approaches Sunday morning with a few showers followed by a big drop in temperatures by Sunday afternoon. Temperatures will top out in the upper 50s to low 60s late Sunday morning before falling into the 50s and even 40s before sunset. With breezy conditions developing with the passage of the cold front, wind chill values will fall into the 30s by late afternoon. It will be a chilly Sunday evening as temperatures continue to fall and most folks will fall to the low to mid 20s by Monday morning.
