Charleston Police responded to a shooting on Ashley Avenue near Race Street on Tuesday evening. A 17-year-old was found dead at the scene. The incident happened around 6:45 p.m. Police are investigating it as a homicide. They said the people involved knew each other. There is no sign the shooting was random.
