Pedestrian fatally struck by car near Mt. Pleasant Street in downtown Charleston

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — A portion of King Street on the upper peninsula was closed Monday morning after authorities responded to a fatal crash involving a pedestrian.

The crash occured around 8:30 a.m. between Mt. Pleasant Street and San Souci Street, according to the Charleston Police Department.

The Charleston County Coroner’s Office has not yet identified the victim, and there was no word on whether charges may be filed against the driver…
