Going Places: 5,200 bikes gifted to underprivileged kids since inception

CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCIV) — Going Places, a Lowcountry nonprofit, continues to help underprivileged kids in the area pedal on. Each year, it surprises kids in the Charleston area and beyond with free bikes.

Through fundraising and donations, Going Places plans on giving away more than 400 bikes to North Charleston Elementary School students on Wednesday. That’ll bring the total to more than 5,200 bikes since the nonprofit kicked off.
