North Charleston Police address recent wave of violence

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) — The North Charleston Police Chief is speaking out after a difficult week marked by several unrelated acts of violence across the city.

On Tuesday morning, officers responded to an apparent homicide on Elder Avenue, where a 53-year-old man was found dead. That same day a shooting was reported near the intersection of Harvey Avenue and Accabee Road.

Later in the week, police say a 4-year-old child was shot and later died from their injuries. Police reported the child was not the intended target…
