MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (WCBD) — The chief of the Moncks Corner Police Department has stepped down after less than a year in the position, the town announced Friday afternoon.
Lee W. Mixon, Jr., who was tapped to lead the department in March, resigned, effective immediately. No specific reason for his departure was provided, but a town official described the circumstances to News 2 as a “personnel matter.”
