Annual holiday race supporting Lowcountry organizations brings out community

SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) — Fleet Feet held its 12th annual Cocoa Cup 5K, bringing the community out in Summerville for a holiday race, but this festive 5K is a lifeline for those in need.

“We know how important it is to have a healthy, thriving community. So, it’s important to us to make sure that when we are able to put on events like these, and we’re very blessed to be able to do so, that we give back to those people, in our community, and help the community as a whole thrive at large,” Fleet Feet Carnes Crossroads Store Manager Danielle Galluccio said.

This year’s race supported three local organizations: East Cooper Community Outreach, Lowcountry Food Bank and The Navigation Center. Over the years, there has been more than $200,000 donated to charities…
